About Wilco:

Wilco, a well-funded stealth startup, is looking for a Growth Hacker / Marketing Manager to help realize our vision: empowering developers of all backgrounds and skill levels to unlock their full professional potential. This key member of our marketing team will lead our marketing tactics and efforts.

What you’ll be doing:

Discovering: We’re a new business, and while our product is hardly the only one marketed to software developers, what we’re doing is somewhat unique. Therefore, our path to sustainable growth is relatively uncharted, and it’ll be up to you to discover it. You’ll need to understand developers and find out what excites them while mapping the marketing traps we should avoid.

Tinkering: There are a lot of growth methodologies, and you’ll be tailoring them to our target audiences. From influencer marketing, through communities, answer sites, newsletters and podcasts, to SEO and identifying engagement opportunities — we’ll want you to try everything that can be effective.

Tinkering Some More: This is a data-driven job. You’ll need to understand what the numbers are saying, not get tricked into assuming causations when you see correlations and know when to listen to your gut.

• A proven track record in B2C or B2D marketing.
• A true cross-channel marketing generalist with experience in different growth and content channels and tactics.
• An understanding of the developer persona.
• An entrepreneurial doer who can create a plan and execute to perfection.
• Ideally, someone with experience in software development.
