About the Role

As the Sales Engineer Team Lead for the UK, you will serve as BlinkOps’s technical beachhead in the region. You will begin as a hands-on SE, partnering with Sales and Sales leadership to drive early pipeline growth, close new business, and establish BlinkOps’s presence in the UK market.

As the business expands, this role will grow into a leadership position across EMEA - hiring and mentoring SEs in the UK and Europe, and formally taking on management responsibilities within one year. You will play a critical role in shaping BlinkOps’s regional go-to-market motion while continuing to lead by example in front of customers.

This is a unique opportunity to be both a builder and a leader: establishing BlinkOps’s brand in a new geography while ensuring technical excellence and customer success.

Your responsibilities

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with Account Executives to lead technical and business discovery, deliver tailored demos, and execute POCs in the UK market.
  • Translate customer challenges into automated solutions powered by Blink’s platform - aligning to measurable business and security outcomes.
  • Build autonomous agents and deterministic workflows using Blink’s UI to incorporate automation logic, data transformation, platform integrations, and case management elements.
  • Collaborate with customers to connect Blink to tools across SIEM, IAM, EDR, cloud infrastructure, GRC, and ticketing platforms.
  • Work closely with Sales and Sales Leadership to rapidly grow UK pipeline and revenue, creating a foundation for regional expansion.
  • Support hiring, mentorship and coaching of new SE hires in the UK and Europe; support onboarding, skill development, and career progression.
  • Within one year, assume management responsibilities for SEs across EMEA, including performance evaluations, career development, and team enablement.
  • Influence product roadmap by partnering with Product, Engineering, and Solutions to ensure regional customer needs are represented.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years in a Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or technical pre-sales role in cybersecurity.
  • Hands-on experience working within an enterprise security organization is highly desired; enterprise consulting experience is also highly valued.
  • Fundamental or practical knowledge of at least one scripting language (such as Python) is required.
  • Proficiency working with APIs, data formats (JSON, YAML); able to reason through logic using conditionals, branching, and loops.
  • Familiarity with major platform types including SIEM, SOAR, EDR, IAM, cloud services, ticketing, and compliance/GRC systems.
  • Experience using or building with AI platforms or agents is a strong plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and juggle multiple customer engagements.
  • Prior team leadership experience, such as mentoring, coaching, or supporting peer development, is required. Formal management experience, including performance evaluations, is strongly preferred.

Bonus Points for:

  • Experience in early-stage startups or dynamic sales environments.
  • Cloud platform knowledge (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Background in security automation, SOAR, or no-code/low-code platforms.
  • Familiarity with sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC or Value Selling.
